The estate is situated at the centre of the country nestled between Birmingham and Coventry. The mix of farming, forestry, residential, commercial and leisure business make this a truly unique Estate consisting of a Marshland, Quarry, Woodland and private Church.
The nature reserve consists of three main pools (one of which is a reedbed) together with woodland, grassland, ponds and some agricultural land.
Two of the main pools have been shaped and include a number of islands which, since formation, have attracted a wide range of breeding and passage waders.
The Estate woodland comprises a mix of commercial plantations (mainly soft woods) along with amenity and sporting woodland (mainly hardwoods).
St James’ Church is a red brick building with four domes topped by finials in neo-classical style, built to celebrate the return to sanity of King George III.
