Designed by the great Victorian architect J M Brydon in the 1870’s. Later lived in by the Gladstone family, with Winston Churchill a frequent visitor. A wonderful high Victorian ‘pile’ left undiscovered for years, with lots of lovely original features. A eclectic mixture of architectual styles, from Arts and Crafts, Gothic revivalist, and English Vernacular. A years restoration, has seen it brought back to life, now full of light, south facing rooms, hardwood floors, good high ceilings, and views to die for.
