American Homestead
KE 055

An American colonial style weather boarded house set in 5 acres of meadows surrounded by woodland.

There are large spacious rooms throughout all in a shabby chic design with high ceilings, chateau doors, and reclaimed wooded floors.  Upstairs are large bedrooms set in the eaves with beautiful views, and a balcony and a turret.

The house is filled with reclaimed Victorian fittings throughout with roll top baths, cast iron radiators and Bakelite switches.

The house has two large verandas on either side, a derelict Victorian greenhouse and a corrugated roof.

The outdoor space includes a large buttercup meadow or prairie, areas of woodland, a camp fire area, beehives, orchard, as well as old barns and outbuildings.  Next to the house is a derelict Victorian greenhouse.  It is situated in an isolated position with no other houses visible.

The house is located 40 minutes drive from London (M25) in the Kent countryside, just off Junction 6 of the M2.  There is an outbuilding, which can be used as costume/make up/crew rooms with a kitchen and toilet, as well as two barns for set design, and parking on site for 20-30 cars.  Further parking space can be arranged at a farm nearby.
